Ah, the writer's life...

Sure beats working for a living....
Hello and welcome to my little corner of the Lazy K which is devoted to my passion for writing.
My first solid remembrance of putting pen (fountain) to paper (5x8 lined 3 hole notepad) was a play written with my best friend at the time, Luise (aka Muscles... long story). The storyline revolved around life after someone pushed the button and nuked the world. There were survivors. Not mutants, just some guys and girls falling in and out of love in a small untouched corner of NYC (Glendale, Queens). The only means of travel was by horse (a hardy, resourceful critter) and the major hangout was a bar (Paula's Pub)... although it was Schrimpf's at the time.
Luise and I were eleven years old.
And I was hooked on storytelling since; Luise, unfortunately went off the friends radar as childhood friends often do when new worlds open up and growing up (which I refuse to do) gets in the way.
While screenplays have always been my passion, it's a tough world to crack open. So, I began novels, never realizing how tough, in its' own way, publishing can be. Until the advent of POD (print on demand), even self-publishing was a scary place to visit. One has to be very careful of losing one's rights to their own work.
